There are several small groups which study various subjects during this hour. Grace Community Church is blessed with many gifted teachers who love to study the Bible and present it to others. Because of this, subjects and teachers are rotated quarterly. At any given time, 2-3 groups meet and one may choose a fellowship group according to need and interest.
The subjects, though all related to the Bible, are offered according to a variety of themes and approaches. Classes may cover a portion of Scripture, perhaps a book of the Bible, others may cover aspects of understanding the Christian walk and practical faith, and still others may cover various Bible themes. The atmosphere is conducive to questions, comments, and discussion
Learning more about the Bible is valuable in itself, but there is an additional benefit. Attending a class is a great way to meet new people, and perhaps, to establish meaningful friendships. Sometimes classes decide arrange for service projects or other activities in which class members may voluntarily participate.
It can be a little intimidating to visit a new place and to join in with a group of people that already know each other. Because we have new people coming to our classes often, and because we rotate groups, there are often different people attending these events. Therefore, newcomers do not feel conspicuous.
